Hello Westside Lacrosse,
This week will be our last week of team meetings/practices of spring 2020 season. Please note Wednesday’s practice agenda will focus on seniors discussing their experiences with late college recruiting. Parents please join us if you wish to listen in and even ask our seniors questions.
After this week, we are having a new players meeting, and we wish to host a senior night event and some sort of alternative to a banquet.
Also, given some feedback I am hearing around the sports and lacrosse communities, I am optimistic about summer ball! We are planning summer strength & conditioning, private/small group sessions, training camp, and summer league. Players also have various club team options, which are highly encouraged. Information is being sent to each parent and player.
Below is our schedule for this week (start of Week 2 Wall Ball Challenge):

  • 5/5 – Tue – Individual Workout – Wall Ball / Sprints / Stick Skills (see workouts below)
  • 5/6 – Wed – Team Practice @ Virtual/Zoom 3:30p-5:30p
  • 5/7 – Thu –  Individual Workout – Wall Ball / Sprints / Stick Skills (see workouts below)
  • 5/8 – Fri – Do something good for your parents / Makeup workouts

COVID19 WALL BALL TRAINING & CONTEST!
Reps up! Players are required to use the Snypr App to report wall ball training reps.
  • Required Minimum Reps: 360-400/day (workout) and 720-800/week (2 workouts)
  • Based on workouts sent each week.
  • Neglecting to do so will put you behind for the summer and fall especially; more importantly, this is a fun way to get better every day. Each rep counts!
Prizes for the Top 5 include: $100 Lacrosse Unlimited gift card, Westside jacket or pants, WHLA Summer Camp, Game Breaker Lacrosse Camp, West Houston Summer Lacrosse League fee.
